Sydney today is in the grips of a dust storm. Thanks NT & SA for sending us all your unwanted red dirt. Every car on the M4 today is ORANGE, despite whatever paintjob they had yesterday.
Like Central Australia has enough topsoil to spare! At least it will soon all dump on our sheep-loving cousins over in Kiwi-Land, so not all is lost I suppose.....
The wind-storm that kicked up at 4am this morning that brought all this red dust blowing through the house, making the place smell and causing the sky to glow red before the sun was even up carried with it another change for me though.
After quite some time feeling nothing at all, my world is finally a swirling, chaotic, churning, blustery mess. (can you possibly use any more redundant descriptors there Epskee? No? OK then)
There is still quite a haze hanging over my world, just like the one outside my office window, but at least a change is afoot.
Or at least I hope its a good thing. The weather report is tipping that the haze will dissapate in a few more hours, the bad weather being blown on, to be followed by calm sunshine and pleasant temperatures, a lovely spring afternoon.
I just hope the same thing is reflected in my world, that my haze doesn't get followed up by a thunderstorm. I've had quite enough of that doom and gloom thankyouverymuch.
PS - are you still depressed if you get dissapointing news and instead of feeling very sad/angry/upset etc like you normally would, you just feel mild dissapointment and reluctant acceptance? Is this a symptom of my funk, or am I just growing up?
