Lizards Drink?

Flat out like a lizard drinking is me in a nutshell at the moment.

1. Work is going like the clappers, and I have too much to do with too little time. I know that's the status quo, however, this is on such epic scale right now that I can't even work out how to convey it to you.

2. There has been a death in the family. As usual it is Epskee to the rescue, and it's too much.

3. Am renovating a property for sale. Is HUGE task. Am pressed for time. Is job so big I'm having trouble seeing the starting point.

4. Have bills coming out my ass. Have imited funds coming in right now. Also need to outlay more before turning a profit. Christ.

5. Have a friend who just got back from Lebanon with his bride. Am surprisingly cut up about not knowing he was married last Sunday (10.01.10 - great date). Am not cut about not being at wedding, understand it was very small. Am cut that I didnt know about it at all until Thursday. Even though there are many others that still dont know. Still cut.

6. Am very annoyed at friend who left for overseas holiday, and found time to catch up with me before leaving. Sounds crazy right? Well "catching up" actually meant "volunteer to do all the shit she didnt want before she left". Do NOT like being used.

7. Am not angry at friend who still hasnt called. Have been running experiment - Epskee doesnt call her and see how long she takes to call Epskee. Is now over 1 month. Still not angry. Also not surprised. Think that says much, dont you?

8. Am out of mouthwash and keep forgetting to buy more EVERY TIME i go to the store. FARK!

9. Am feeling stupid for trying to help an internet-buddy who needed work. Turns out she is too lazy to go for an interview. Twice. And will not reschedule. Note to self - do not give a fuck about internet peoples! Case in point of internet person in states up on charges and soliciting for cash to get a lawyer. Is not constitutional right/memoranda right in US that "if you can not afford a lawyer, one will be provided for you?" Ok is probably shit one like Legal Aid in Aussie-Land, however cannot say you were denied one if it is not true. Can a yank clear this up for me? Anyway, childcare workers and teachers need to join the real world where people have to get off their asses and do shit - you know, be an adult?

10. None of the above even comes close to what the Haitians are dealing with, so I must, Must, MUST get it into perspective!

PS - Sproglet has taken the scratchy blanket & assorted other items every day (they are living in the boot of my car actually) but homeless man has not been seen. Perhaps its the glorious weather we have been having? Or maybe (far more likely) Ive just been a lazy cow and sleeping in a bit and getting to vacation care too late to run into him. Will let you know.
